Bio/Research

My research areas include biodiversity conservation, threatened species, invasive species, citizen/community science, environmental policy and machine learning for decisions. I have a particular interest in improving decisions around threatened species and invasive species management. My work in this area provides conservation agencies with tools that allow them to achieve better results within their limited budgets. I also conduct ecological and social research to help improve Canadian environmental policy. My study systems include temperate grasslands, forests and lakes, boreal forests and polar regions.
