Bio/Research

Yadav is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Design at Carleton University, and a Director of Data Engineering and AI/ML at Enablence Technologies. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carleton University and the Communications Research Centre Canada in 2012, where her research focused on the design and fabrication of novel silica glass meta-materials. Her current research expertise lies in the design of optical chips, and the use of AI and machine learning in the design and manufacturing of opto-electronic components. She serves as the Chair of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Department of Electronics at Carleton University, advising on educational challenges in rapidly evolving technological fields, lowering barriers to STEM in underrepresented populations, and effective collaborations between public and private sectors. The applications of her research on optical chip design include high-speed communication, autonomous driving, medical instrumentation, and environmental sensing.
