Yaxi’s interdisciplinary research program aims at integrating advanced analytical chemistry, nanomaterials, microfluidic “lab-on-a-chip” platform, bioinformatics and machine learning to develop the next generation techniques for food analysis and thus to better ensure the food safety, quality and authenticity from farm to fork.
Yaxi was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Chemistry (2019-2020), as well as with Health Canada in the Food Research Division (2021-2022), before joining Carleton University as an Assistant Professor in 2022.
