During his PhD, he published on a variety of subjects related to electoral politics, but primarily focused on voter turnout and diversity and representation. His doctoral dissertation examined women’s representation in Canadian federal politics, focusing on the role of candidate selection processes and women candidates’ differing levels of success at different stages of the ‘representation pipeline’. During his time at Carleton, he will contine this research and will be working on publishing several papers derived from my dissertation research, as well as continuing research on diversity in representation in other contexts.
